Mentoring Programme

Are you a non-profit manager who is largely left to ‘figure things out’ and ‘just get stuff done’? Do you need someone who can hear your ideas, share your challenges and help you find solutions? Regular mentoring is a great way to get the support you need to be an effective leader. An Exult Mentor will help you:

Tap into your own experience and knowledge
Often times you already know what you need to do – you just need to someone to confirm you’re on the right track. Exult Mentors ask great questions to help you uncover your own solutions.

Expand your networks
Sometimes you just need to be put in touch with the right person at the right time. Exult works with hundreds of non-profits across the country and we love introducing people to each other. We’ll help you make valuable connections that you may not have otherwise made on your own.

Expand your knowledge base
Great leaders are always learning. Exult Mentors will help you in that process by sharing their own knowledge and expertise in matters relevant to you and your organisation. You also get access to Exult’s extensive library of resources including articles, checklists and templates to make life easier.

Be accountable
Exult Mentors will ask you to commit to specific action steps at the end of each session so that you continue to get the important stuff done.

How does it work?
We organise regular Skype sessions where we focus on the issues that matter to you. Some people choose to focus their sessions on one particular project and each time we meet we take the next steps together. Other people use their Mentoring sessions to deal with whatever issues are current at that time. Challenges can change from month to month and it is simply a chance to bounce ideas, share frustrations and ask questions in a safe place.

You can book Mentoring sessions one at a time, but we recommend people commit to at least 6 sessions. Real progress can only be seen over time.

What others say:

“Just a quick note to let you know how much I appreciate your mentoring – yesterday’s conversation made a world of difference in a pretty hectic week.” Mary-Beth Acres, Manager, Rotorua Arts Village

“Thank you so much for today. You are adding such value to our organisation. Very much appreciate your time, wisdom, expertise and strategic thinking.” Hilary Price, CEO, Homes of Hope
