The Seriously Good Guide to Fundraising was originally produced in 2008 as a soft cover guide which provided practical ideas and advice for community groups wanting to raise funds. Topics covered in the guide included Getting Started, Planning an Event, Sponsorship, Community Funding and Marketing. It also provided details about running specific events such as discos, gala days, food stalls, raffles, tours, auctions and more.

By the end of 2009, 20,000 FREE copies had been distributed to community groups throughout the country.

Christmas Campaigns
There are all sorts of fundraising activities that can be built around a Christmas theme with a twist, making it unique to your organisation. Some ideas include Christmas cards, personalised decorations, Christmas trees, carol concerts, Christmas light show, photos with Santa, or a Christmas fair. You could also do Christmas gift wrapping for donations in a shopping mall or large department store.
