The Seriously Good Guide to Fundraising

The Seriously Good Guide to Fundraising

The Seriously Good Guide to Fundraising was originally produced in 2008 as a soft cover guide which provided practical ideas and advice for community groups wanting to raise funds. Topics covered in the guide included Getting Started, Planning an Event, Sponsorship, Community Funding and Marketing. It also provided details about running specific events such as discos, gala days, food stalls, raffles, tours, auctions and more.

By the end of 2009, 20,000 FREE copies had been distributed to community groups throughout the country.

Due to the demand for the information contained in the guide, The Seriously Good Guide to Fundraising is now available for purchase on CD. Click here to find out more.

Donate an Hour
More and more businesses are choosing to help make a difference in their communities and they are encouraging their staff to also be actively involved. One way workers can do this is by donating one hour worth of wages to your organisation every month.

Start by hosting an after work function where you can present your organisation to the staff. After the presentation, give staff members the opportunity to complete an automatic payment form to have the equivalent of one hour's wages deducted every month. You could also encourage the business to match their staff’s contributions - dollar for dollar.
