Upcoming Workshops

Our public workshops run throughout the school term and we plan to work in most regions 3-4 times each year. Currently we hold public workshops in Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Christchurch, Otago and Southland – phew! We also work with local councils, funders, and Volunteer Centres to bring open sessions to other regions (including Australia) from time to time.

Getting Your Board Onboard – Whakatane

Getting Your Board Onboard Workshop – thanks to BayTrust 

  • Date: Saturday 16 May 2026, 9.30am-4pm
  • Venue: EastBay REAP Whakatane
  • Cost: The workshop is usually $950 per organisation. In association with BayTrust, eligible Bay of Plenty organisations can attend for the special rate of $400 (incl GST) per organisation.
  • Who can attend? To get the most out of the workshop we recommend your GM/CEO/person responsible for the day-to-day running of your organisation AND at least 80% of your board must attend.
  • Refreshments: A light working lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please let us know if you have special dietary requirements.

You will join up to 6 other community organisations for the workshop, with each organisation working through the activities and tasks as a team. At no stage will you be expected to share sensitive information with participants from other organisations. The workshop format enables great discussion and sharing of ideas and ways of working related to governance.
